Common Troubleshooting Issues
1. If you're using SMS verification, you'll need the mobile device and phone number associated with your Finvest account in hand in order to successfully completed,
2. If you're having trouble completing 2-step verification to sign in to your account, make sure your mobile device software and Finvest app are up to date.
3.If your SMS codes are not working, check that the clock on your device is set to the correct timezone. An incorrect clock can cause codes to be out of sync.
1. We only accept users that have a valid social security number.
2. We accept the following IDs: Passport, US government issued ID such as drivers license.
3. Please make sure that your personal information is entered exactly as it appears on your government issued ID. It’s important your personal information matches your ID and Finvest account.
4. All ID documents must be verified through the Finvest mobile app. We don't accept emailed copies of your ID documents for verification purposes.

The account recovery process usually takes 48-72 hours to complete but can sometimes take longer. When the recovery process has completed and your account has been verified, you will receive an email confirmation and should be able to log in to update your email address in your account settings.
